City Rules

These rules keep Grime City fair, fun and serious RP for everyone. Breaking them can lead to warnings, kicks or permanent bans.

🪪 General

Account & Discord Requirements

  1. Must be 16+ to use the server.
  2. You must be in the Grime RP Discord while using the server at all times. Losing Discord membership = loss of whitelist; you must reapply.
  3. OOC / Admin help: go to the Gov Building (OOC channel ID: 8031).
  4. Medical service name: GHS = Grime Health Services.
  5. Do not PM staff under any circumstances. Do not tag staff outside the correct staff channels.
  6. You must have a working microphone. Be ready to record/clip — if staff request evidence, provide it.
  7. STRICT POLICY: No clip, no sit. If you refuse to provide requested clips/recordings when asked in an investigation, disciplinary action (including removal) will follow.
  8. Follow Twitch Terms of Service when streaming/using Twitch while playing.

🧭 Behaviour

Behaviour & Safety

  1. Zero tolerance for discrimination (racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, etc.) or sexual harassment. Immediate removal for offences.
  2. No extreme toxicity, harassment, doxxing, or selling in-game info/items for real money — this will get you removed.
  3. No advertising other servers.
  4. Do not revenge-report. Only report genuine breaches.
  5. Impersonating staff = removal.
  6. Private discussions about open reports/tickets are forbidden and may result in a permanent ban.

🎙️ Voice & Streaming

Voice / Streaming / Metagaming

  1. Metagaming is forbidden: do not use outside information (Discord calls, streams, chats) to gain in-game advantage or affect RP.
  2. You must not watch an active city streamer while in active RP and use info from it.
  3. Must not be in any VC channels while in the city of Grime. INCLUDING CALLS I.E Discord Call or Channels
  4. Voice ID is allowed: using your character’s voice as identifier is fine; don’t use OOC info to influence RP.
  5. Clipping/recording software: keep it available. If a clip is requested for evidence, hand it over.

🎭 Roleplay

Roleplay Conduct (Core)

  1. Stay IC. Breaking character during RP is not permitted. Finish the scene, then report if needed.
  2. ERP, Suicide RP, Terrorism RP are strictly banned.
  3. Spitting (in chat/emote) is strictly banned — instant removal.
  4. No clip, no sit — teams/staff decisions on investigations require cooperation.
  5. No planning roleplay scenarios/scenes — all RP must develop naturally and not be pre-planned.

⚔️ Combat

Combat, Death & Injuries

  1. RDM (Random Deathmatch): killing requires a valid RP reason; killing is a last resort.
  2. VDM (Vehicle Deathmatch): do not use vehicles as weapons unless a genuine life-threat 1v1 scenario occurs (gunplay while driving and life is realistically at risk). Vehicles are not melee weapons.
  3. Not Valuing Life (NVL): fear and consequences must be realistic when threatened with weapons (excl. crowbars/hammers used for non-fear tasks).
  4. New Life Rule: if you are comatose (declared by GHS) or forced to respawn, you forget events that led to the coma. Do not use that knowledge after respawn. If placed on your back, forget the 15 minutes prior to that moment.
  5. Failure to RP injuries: RP injuries properly. You may not self-diagnose a coma; only GHS can do this.
  6. CKING (Character Killing) is strictly prohibited unless fully approved by the Owners. Any unapproved CK attempts, threats, or forcing someone into a CK scenario will result in removal.

🚔 Custody

Arrests, Custody & Corruption

  1. No corruption in whitelisted jobs without an approved, pre-written story. Corruption requires ticket submission and full staff approval.
  2. Impersonation of whitelisted jobs (PD, GHS, JUSTICE, GFB, government officials) is forbidden. Uniform/props that imply a job you don’t hold are not allowed.

💣 Robberies

Robberies, Heists & Hostages

  1. High-tier robberies (e.g., Vangelico, Humane Labs) must have at least 1 hour cooldown between attempts.
  2. Shops/banks: 15 minutes cooldown.
  3. Max 1 primary vehicles per robbery/heist.
  4. When robbing certain targets (Vangelico, banks, heists) you must wear a duffle bag.
  5. Hostages must act like hostages and fear; you cannot stage fake hostages. You cannot rob someone who is on their side (stage 1/2).
  6. You cannot use hostage demands to free people from PD custody or to bypass PD procedures.

📻 Comms

Radios, Phones & Comms

  1. Maximum 5 radios on scene for general criminal activity; whitelisted gangs: 10.
  2. Phones: allowed during Stage 1; not allowed in Stage 2 or when on your back. No phone use for police/999/111 while on your back.
